It’s no secret that complex interventional radiology procedures are some of the most difficult to code and, as such, reveal many coding errors when these encounters are audited. In particular, embolization procedures are notorious for being reported incorrectly due to both the myriad of coding rules surrounding embolization, as well as documentation requirements for all associated components of embolization procedures.
In this session, join interventional radiology coding expert Stacie L. Buck, RHIA, CCS-P, CPCO, CCC, CIRCC, RCC, RCCIR as she takes you on an in-depth journey of analyzing and auditing 5 different types of embolization cases. Stacie will provide expert guidance on identifying crucial elements in operative reports that substantiate every aspect of the procedure.
NAMAS presentations are submitted for approval to the AAPC and requested for 1 credit hour for Core A and all applicable certifications, including CPMA.
