Our goal to provider training is not to convert providers into coders, but rather to train providers on documentation skills to ensure the outcomes are supporting the appropriate level of service. We do this by training TO the provider, not at the provider and more specifically by not teaching rudimentary structure and coding basics that are non-material to the role of the provider. Our training is provider specific.
Provider training must be created to the specific place/type of service to which they operate, and each even should not exceed 60-90 minutes.
Events are customized per your organizations usage of service along with MAC guidance per LCD, organizational policies, and any variances by Medicaid that may be appropriate.
While our trainings can use standard examples, these can be customized with specific examples provided by your organization. We believe this to be the game changer in maintaining provider engagement.
For each place/type of service training, 5-10 encounters will be requested for use as examples throughout the training. Applied learning is impactful, and including this level of familiarity breeds continuity.
Training Attestation Form to remind providers that compliance is ultimately their responsibility as the source of the documentationPDF or laminated print version of provider reference card with E&M guidelines5 or 10 question proficiency quiz (per the Client’s request)
There is a fee for recording of the event, but recording of the event may be permitted. NAMAS does allow this as we note this is an excellent way to provide educate to providers who are unable to attend, or an excellent tool for onboarding new hires.
