In this session, we will review compliance-related provisions in Medicare’s 2023 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) rule. Medicare’s Part B payment changes will be covered at a high level and briefly look at specialty impact.

We will examine the major provisions affecting coding and compliance, including CMS’ comments on CPT’s 2023 revisions to the evaluation & management (E&M) guidelines, new chronic pain management codes, and the transition to new rules for split/shared services.

Finally, we will highlight some action items attendees can take to ensure they start 2023 ready to comply with new codes and new rules.
