In this session, we will review compliance-related provisions in Medicare’s 2023 Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) rule. Medicare’s Part B payment changes will be covered at a high level and briefly look at specialty impact.

We will examine the major provisions affecting coding and compliance, including CMS’ comments on CPT’s 2023 revisions to the evaluation & management (E&M) guidelines, new chronic pain management codes, and the transition to new rules for split/shared services.

Finally, we will highlight some action items attendees can take to ensure they start 2023 ready to comply with new codes and new rules.

Please note we will use the currently available 2023 proposed rule for this presentation, and update it with the final rule if CMS releases it in time for this event.
